EspoCRM's data, rules and permissions are the source of truth. We never fork it.
I have spent thirty years redesigning business processes and writing the software that runs them. When I found EspoCRM, I fell for it. Everything in it is driven by data: entities, fields, layouts, roles and relationships are defined, not hard-coded. It is open, fast, and you own it.
So I put it in front of clients. Several sites later, the same conversation kept happening. People loved what EspoCRM could do, but struggled with how it looked and felt day to day: email that felt like an admin tool, a calendar nobody enjoyed, campaigns buried in menus, and long records that turned into endless scrolling.
I didn't want to fork EspoCRM or move anyone's data. I wanted to give it the front end it deserves. WorkFolder is that front end: a set of extensions that installs in minutes, respects every role and permission EspoCRM already has, and lets each person switch back to the standard screens whenever they like.
“EspoCRM has the strongest bones in open-source CRM. WorkFolder gives it the face.”
